My First Glossybox

Got my first ever Glossybox last week! Was super impressed with the gorgeous packaging it came in and the box is definitely a keeper =) Even though I was so excited by the exterior, I was even more excited to see what it was tht was waiting for me in the box itself!

Too pretty to unwrap!

To be perfectly honest, I was not entirely impressed with my first Glossybox at first glance and the products that came did not really excite me and I ended up leaving my box on the side for a few days before properly going through it this weekend.

First, the HD brows tweezers - which do not fair close to my Tweezermans which are my all time go to tweezers, nor my cheaper Jemma Kidd tweezers which are similar to these but are less harsh when against the skin.

Then we had the Glossybox brush. I was a bit disappointed because I got this box to try out different products rather than tools thus 2 items out of the 5 being tools was not what I wanted =( Bristles were not very soft and it just didn't feel very luxurious to use.

Thirdly, we have the Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner which was a product I really liked! I hate buying products for my hair most of the time as I barely brush it, or even treat my hair very nice to be honest (I'm just lucky that it is poker straight and barely requires any effort) so I was chuffed to receive this for my poorly mistreated locks! Loved the feeling of it after applying it to damp hair as it left my hair silky soft when dried.

The Vichy Dermablend was one of my fave products from the box which I didn't expect to like. It worked really well covering up blemishes and marks on my face and stayed put. Am considering purchasing a full-sized stick!

The final product from this month's Glossybox was the BM Beauty Bronzer. I don't really use bronzer much nowadays, I remember back at school I used to plaster it on and constantly want to look tanned ;) however nowadays I prefer the more 'flushed' cheeks look rather than the tango look! However, since summer is here I have picked up a couple of bronzers again so this came at the perfect time.

Loved the pigmentation of this product and the shade gave a lovely glow that was not too 'tangoed'. It lasted throughout the day too which was a plus. Shame about the packaging for this and that it is such a small sample though as once I stick my make-up brush in I lose so much of the particles *sob*

Overall I wasn't overly impressed with my box this month, however I am still looking forward to the next one - hopefully it will have more items that I want to try out.

Thanks for reading peeps, xoxo

Hola from Valencia

We took a short break to Valencia, Spain in the beginning of June for the boyf’s birthday. It was a much needed break for the both of us, and the first time off since starting my new job so indeed I was excited!

Valencia is situated on the Western part of the Mediterranean Sea, and is one of the few cities with so many beaches dotted close to the city and was one of the major deciding factors for us. I love relaxing on the beach when I’m away, however I am also one of those people who can easily get bored lying on a beach too long hence Valencia was perfect for me – beautiful beaches and a colourful and busy city infused with plenty of shopping and sightseeing!

Weather was fabulous for the time we went with temperatures reaching 30 plus degrees every day and some days even hitting 35 degrees! However with a gentle breeze and the laid-back Spanish culture, it was such a dreamy and fun place to be.

Here's my picture diary for you...enjoy ;)

Did you know that paella was first discovered in Valencia?

Tapas - 'Spanish Sushi' :)

Mercado Central Market

Spanish Carnival

'Cappucino' cafe

Fell in love with the coffee... <3

Valencia is a beautiful city to visit, with amazing food, great coffee, lovely beaches and wonderful weather.
I had such a fab time there are picked up a great tan! Would really recommend a visit if you are looking for a beach holiday with a little bit more.

Until next time, adios! xoxo

Vegas Virtual Shopping

Crystals - Las Vegas

So out of the blue, me and my bestie discovered a new way to shop... 'virtual shopping'! This post is merely about my transatlantic shopping experience  in Vegas and my new purchase which I have forever dreamt about! ;)

Please excuse the blurry images as these are hot off her phone haha :)

Source

I've been coveting over this bag like forever, so now that I am all content and settled I was ready to go for it....except that now the bag had sold out across Europe due to it being discontinued *sob*. Searching high and low for this baby, when I heard my friend was going to be holidaying in the US, I jumped at the chance for her to pick one up ;)

A sneak preview of the store she visited and flexed the plastic..... ;)

Our virtual shopping trip was soley through the means of 'Whatsapp' where she was sending me images everything she saw - YSL, Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel, Balenciaga....and the list goes on!

The powers of internet is just amazing isn't it?! Even though I was not there, I actually felt like I was from the live updates she was giving me haha!

Ooh la la!

At the start of my friend's shopping spree she was edging towards a Prada or YSL, however by the end my magical persuasive powers from across the pond made her go for a B bag herself ;) We have such similar style and always fall for the same things so it's a shame we live so far away from each other as I can't steal her stuff anymore :(

The Box! (Excuse the lighter...she is a bit of a chimney ;) )

My City!

Even though my bestie is returning home from her hols tomorrow, as she lives in HK I won't be getting my hands on this baby till Christmas *sob*. I said  I would visit her over Christmas - for dame sure you bet I will be there now! Such a long wait...for now I will just have to gawp over the pictures...

Miss you Chanel ^.^

Currently trying to update my blog, still all so new to this html stuff so bear with me whilst I learn something new everyday.

Thanks for reading guys! <3

Beauty Boxes

Glossybox

I've been considering subscribing to a monthly 'beauty box' for some time after seeing reviews on them. For those of you that are not familiar with what these boxes are, they are basically a really good way to try out new products without having to fork out a fortune and end up purchasing items that we actually don't like or don't work for us. The box can contain luxury, niche or budget items and for about £10 a month, it doesn't seem too bad! Mind you, it does cost £2.95 for P&P...

Personally, I think it is a fab way to stay up to date and discover new brands which you would not usually go for if you are obsessed with beauty products like me and end up spending a fortune every month regardless anyway!

It took me a while when deciding between the well known 'Glossybox' vs the 'She Said Beauty Box', but after trawling through many reviews and comparing the diverse brands....I fell towards the 'Glossybox'.
I am really looking forward to getting my first box through the post! Yay ^.^

Will update you guys on what is inside my first box and most importantly, if it is even worth all the hype...and $$$!

Until next time, ciao! ~.<

Valencia ~ Holiday Blues

First weekend back to England and boy was I glad to see some rays! After spending a week in Valencia with daily temperatures of 30 degree plus every day - landing in the UK this week when it was 14 degrees felt like I was in the North Pole!

Had so much fun in Valencia, it's such a beautiful city and the perfect location if you are looking for a city break with plenty of sand and sea!

Just a snippet of what I got up to below... :)

Norway Lobster Paella

My favourite coffee shop in Valencia ~ 'Cappucino'
Few snippets from different days of my trip; I will include more snaps in an upcoming, more detailed post. Hope you guys enjoyed it for now! <3
