Vegas Virtual Shopping

Crystals - Las Vegas

So out of the blue, me and my bestie discovered a new way to shop... 'virtual shopping'! This post is merely about my transatlantic shopping experience  in Vegas and my new purchase which I have forever dreamt about! ;)

Please excuse the blurry images as these are hot off her phone haha :)

Source

I've been coveting over this bag like forever, so now that I am all content and settled I was ready to go for it....except that now the bag had sold out across Europe due to it being discontinued *sob*. Searching high and low for this baby, when I heard my friend was going to be holidaying in the US, I jumped at the chance for her to pick one up ;)

A sneak preview of the store she visited and flexed the plastic..... ;)

Our virtual shopping trip was soley through the means of 'Whatsapp' where she was sending me images everything she saw - YSL, Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel, Balenciaga....and the list goes on!

The powers of internet is just amazing isn't it?! Even though I was not there, I actually felt like I was from the live updates she was giving me haha!

Ooh la la!

At the start of my friend's shopping spree she was edging towards a Prada or YSL, however by the end my magical persuasive powers from across the pond made her go for a B bag herself ;) We have such similar style and always fall for the same things so it's a shame we live so far away from each other as I can't steal her stuff anymore :(

The Box! (Excuse the lighter...she is a bit of a chimney ;) )

My City!

Even though my bestie is returning home from her hols tomorrow, as she lives in HK I won't be getting my hands on this baby till Christmas *sob*. I said  I would visit her over Christmas - for dame sure you bet I will be there now! Such a long wait...for now I will just have to gawp over the pictures...

Miss you Chanel ^.^

Currently trying to update my blog, still all so new to this html stuff so bear with me whilst I learn something new everyday.

Thanks for reading guys! <3

Beauty Boxes

Glossybox

I've been considering subscribing to a monthly 'beauty box' for some time after seeing reviews on them. For those of you that are not familiar with what these boxes are, they are basically a really good way to try out new products without having to fork out a fortune and end up purchasing items that we actually don't like or don't work for us. The box can contain luxury, niche or budget items and for about £10 a month, it doesn't seem too bad! Mind you, it does cost £2.95 for P&P...

Personally, I think it is a fab way to stay up to date and discover new brands which you would not usually go for if you are obsessed with beauty products like me and end up spending a fortune every month regardless anyway!

It took me a while when deciding between the well known 'Glossybox' vs the 'She Said Beauty Box', but after trawling through many reviews and comparing the diverse brands....I fell towards the 'Glossybox'.
I am really looking forward to getting my first box through the post! Yay ^.^

Will update you guys on what is inside my first box and most importantly, if it is even worth all the hype...and $$$!

Until next time, ciao! ~.<

Valencia ~ Holiday Blues

First weekend back to England and boy was I glad to see some rays! After spending a week in Valencia with daily temperatures of 30 degree plus every day - landing in the UK this week when it was 14 degrees felt like I was in the North Pole!

Had so much fun in Valencia, it's such a beautiful city and the perfect location if you are looking for a city break with plenty of sand and sea!

Just a snippet of what I got up to below... :)

Few snippets from different days of my trip; I will include more snaps in an upcoming, more detailed post. Hope you guys enjoyed it for now! <3

'Top 10 Current Obsessions'

Currently Coveting Over...

1. BALENCIAGA CITY

I've been umming and ahh-ing over this bag for sooo long, and when I say long like over two years! Now that I have finally decided to go for it, the GGH is now being d/c. Booohooo!
Seems like it's sold out in Europe and only available in the US so I am waiting for my friend bring one back when she visits Vegas next month - fingers crossed they will save me one!

2. RAY BAN AVIATORS

A classic item that I have been meaning to buy but never got round to it be due to money constraints or timing. Now that I have my holiday booked and earning $$$, will definitely be picking up a pair soon!

3.  PRADA SAFFIANO LUX TOTE

Currently coveting over this baby as well...not usually a Prada fan as I find their designs a bit boring however I have fallen for this one for its 'Hermes' esque' classic style! LOVE!

Just can't decide whether I want to go for the classic black, or go for the caramel....

4. CELINE

The new 'IT' bag currently seems to be the Celine luggage or the 'sad robot' bag as some like to call it...

Gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous!

5. Isabel Marant High-Top Trainers

Never in my life have I been a fan of wearing trainers, unless they were Keds or Converse, however when I saw these high tops with a hidden wedge - I immediately fell in love!

The luxe sport trend is definitely a marmite kinda thing - you either love it or hate it! With a hefty price tag of £400 for a pair of these babies, I've picked myself out a high-street version from River Island at a much more affordable price!

6. NEON YELLOW BLAZER

LOVING the hot neon trend currently and with the blazer trend going strong; all you need to do is add a splash of bold colour to brighten up the rainy days!

Throw over a simple white shirt or pair with skinny jeans for a super hot look! I'm in search of a yellow neon blazer at the moment but just can't seem to find the right yellow- Zara has an amazing one however seems to edge more towards neon green -.-

7. NEON NAIL POLISH

Really excited to get my hands on some neon yellow nail polish...add to my neon obsession! Illamasqua and Essie are the two brands I want to try most as I have read good reviews on them! =)

8. YSL Teint Resist Foundation

Looking to change my foundation and I'm eager to try out the YSL Teint Resist. I'm constantly in search of a HG foundation that will stay put all day, covers up imperfections as well as being non-oily for my skin.

I've read good things about this and can't wait to try it out! Shame that it costs over £30!

9. Vaseline Rosy Lips

Currently my fave lip balm, I nicked this from my mama's draw last weekend when I was home after leaving my usual Carmex in London. Boy was I surprised by how much I loved what I thought was just a 'typical' tin of Vaseline. With almond oil, this is extra nourishing on the lips and left a lovely soft pink tint.

10. VALENCIA

Source

Uber excited to go away in a few weeks time. We chose Valencia as it allows us to have both a city and beach holiday at the same time. With some gorgeous beaches near the main city of Valencia where we will be staying, I can stroll to top up my tan and then head out in the evening for some shopping and partying ;)

Hope you had fun reading, see you next time! <3

Gold Rush

GOLD RUSH

Hey everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend! The weather was so beautiful and sunny, yet come Monday it is already gloomy and wet. I had an amazing weekend doing what I love most - shopping! You can never beat a day out on Oxford Street amongst the busy crowds on a warm sunny day! ;) The boyf did not seem to agree however...! Since he is away for a few days, thought I would start up on my blog posts again...and begin with one of my favourite things - accessories!

When I was younger, my fave colour jewellery was definitely and HAD to be silver. However, the past few years I have been obsessed with gold, gold and more gold. This weekend, I gave in to more gold jewellery whilst out!

I absolutely adore bangles and cuffs as it adds so much edge and statement to any outfit. These are a few of my faves! The intertwined one is from HK and cost me only $20!!! Next time I am there I am going to top up on more jewels as you can buy the same thing there that would cost £10-£20 here.

The watch-link style bracelets in rose gold and gold/yellow were a few I picked up this weekend. Love the colours on these! My fave in my collection at the moment are the cuffs on the right with the hanging chain which look so cute stacked together.

Can't wait to wear this what I'm calling the 'mayor' inspired necklace! Such a statement piece which will add a bit of chique to a minimal outfit. Also picked up the layered link bracelet (also features on the 1st image) on the far left, which creates fab texture with its thin chains intertwined with the chunky links. Both are from H&M.

Gold is perfect for summer so I can't wait for it to get warmer to showcase all the bling ;)

Thanks for reading guys, have a great evening.

Life as it is right now...

I never seem to have enough time or should I say 'energy' after a long tiring day at work to write on here....but whenever I do, it's always a lot of fun and I want to make it me often!

In our busy society today, people put too much pressure on themselves in everyday life and me myself - I am exactly one of those individuals! Maybe it is true when they say that girls always set themselves too high expectations and at the same time are the ones who are always disappointed when these goals are not reached. Though I do believe that you should have aspirations, goals and dreams. Life isn't always about striving to be the best, rich and successful etc etc however doing things that make you happy - you only live once as the saying goes!

Since the last few years, I have really learnt to appreciate what I have, the people around me more and I think that has also come with age. Getting older has definitely changed the way I think and perceive life. I used to be a think ahead, plan plan plan, and am a 'always think of the consequences' kind of girl, however recently I just want to enjoy today for today and try not to think so ahead (though I am still like that in some things!).

With a new job, new place and new lifestyle this year, my life has definitely changed and I see myself getting closer to reaching my goal, both personally and professionally. Having been through so many ups and downs, I am a strong believer of  'all things happen for a reason' even if the reason is unexplainable or unjustifiable. There will never be an answer for everything, and sometimes we have to accept that...maybe we will never know.

I am looking forward to what this year will bring and it is definitely a stepping stone to the future, especially in terms of career. Landing a role as an health and beauty buyer is a blessing in disguise; I am looking forward to my next adventure as a result of this experience. It is true what my parents have taught me - you need to work hard for what you want - and I intend to do so!
"The only place where success comes before work is a dictionary."
Wise words! Unless you win the lottery that is...until next time...take care! <3

Borough Market Delights

Hey everyone, it's been a while once again since I last posted, however this time I have a better excuse! Lots has changed since my last post, new job, new life, new home and getting used to the new lifestyle! I have been really busy in the past few months, settling into my new role and readjusting my lifestyle all over! Work inevitably has been tiring hence lack of posts and when I do get time off I just end up going out and making the most of it!

So one of the places I went to last weekend was 'Borough Market' which is right by London Bridge. Borough Market is bursting with excitement and yummy foods, with a diverse cultural audience both selling and buying.
As I went on a Saturday and one of the first sunny weekends of Spring it was packed with people, walking superbly slow as it was so crowded (similar to a typical night in Mong Kok if any of you have ever been-but less sweaty!)

It is defintely worth a visit and a great excuse to eat lots of lovely scrumptious food!
Here are a few snapshots from my day, enjoy!
